Make a monthly donation to help us support sustainability pioneers to change the system, making the outdoors more accessible and affordable and to spread the message of #CitizenFriday.

Re-Action will use your money to help promote circularity and increase access to the outdoors.

As well as funding us to support our members as they rescue products, revive and redistribute outdoor gear, we’re looking to raise awareness and help other people get involved. Here are some of the projects we’re working on:

  • A film entitled “From Anxiety to Action” about a young woman who overcomes her climate anxiety by finding her people and taking collective action.
  • A #CitizenFriday podcast series with real life examples showcasing how people are embracing their agency and taking action
  • Creation of an open source toolkit to give people practical tips on how to share, repair and set up hubs in their communities

Re-Action is a Section 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization, EIN 56-2430722. All donations are deemed tax-deductible absent any limitations on deductibility applicable to a particular taxpayer. No goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution.

Re-Action and…

The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint for a better and more sustainable future for all, so it goes without saying that Re-Action embodies their principles. Our work focuses on the following four goals:

Good health and well-being – Movement, connection and getting outdoors is essential for good physical and mental health. Our work helps people find others who share their concerns, goals and values, get them moving outdoors, and connect them with nature.

Reduced inequalities – Access to kit can be a barrier to low income and marginalised groups getting outdoors. Our members rescue kit which is donated, resold, repurposed or rented, breaking down this barrier. We are inclusive, welcoming people from all walks of life regardless of ability, income, race, sexuality or religion.

Responsible consumption and production – Re-Action was founded on the idea of keeping kit in action for longer. Using circular economy ideas we rebrand, resell, share, rent and donate items to mitigate the need to produce so much new kit.

Climate action – We reduce emissions and save resources by keeping existing kit in action. Re-Action and its members also support restoration and regenerative projects such as peat bog restoration, forest gardens (agroforestry) and others.
